Welcome

Hello! My name is Amy Gaither and I am the ROP Health Career’s instructor at Yreka High School. I have been a Registered Nurse for 20 years with earning my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2008. The majority of my nursing career, I have worked as an Obstetrical nurse in Ohio, Oklahoma and California. I, also, worked as a Nurse case Manager for the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. Having an interest in teaching for many years, I came to Yreka Union High School District for the positions of Director of Health Services and ROP Health Career’s Instructor. It is wonderful to be able to provide opportunities for students to experience many different health care fields at Fairchild Medical Center, Yreka Physical Therapy, Madrone Hospice, and Dr. Richard and Dr. Vina Swenson. I look forward to preparing students for careers in the medical field by giving them a knowledge base of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and employment skills.
